The Earth is Flat!

There is a documentary called “Behind the Curve.” I recommend watching it. Not because I think the earth is flat, but because it says something about human nature. The documentary reminds me that even though there is overwhelming evidence the earth is a sphere, there are those who are convinced the earth is flat. Can you believe it?

Before you judge, consider that EVERYONE has a flat earth. We all have something that we believe is true when the evidence overwhelmingly proves otherwise. We have flat earth theories about ourselves, people in our lives, the Bible, church, politics, the future... The documentary makes the point that the flat earth theory has a foundation of a lack of trust in the authorities and experts. Your flat earth may have its roots in fear and a lack of trust. It may be a lack of trust in the Father.

God is not good.

People are useless.

I am not loved.

The world is falling apart.

Things are hopeless.

I can’t trust anyone.

What is your flat earth? Anything that reflects ungodly and unbiblical thoughts and actions may get you to the root of your fear and lack of trust = your flat earth.

What evidence are you willing to trust?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
